Galaxy Tab S10 FE: best Android step-up
Samsung’s current keyboard cover supports the Tab S10 FE family through a pogo-pin connection and includes a trackpad on the full Book Cover Keyboard. The tablet and keyboard are sold separately, so it may stop being a budget package once both are in the cart.
Surface Go 4 for Business: best compact Windows option
Surface Go 4 runs Windows 11 Pro and uses a 10.5-inch 3:2 display. It is the best fit here when desktop Windows software is mandatory, but Microsoft positions it for business and the keyboard is not in the box.

What changed in this update
The previous 2024 list depended on older Tab P12 Pro, Surface Go 3, Tab S8, and Tab M10 configurations. They were replaced with currently documented products, and the separate-keyboard cost is now explicit.
Verdict
The Tab P12 is the value choice when the official keyboard can be sourced. The Tab S10 FE is the more polished Android setup. Surface Go 4 is for buyers who need Windows enough to accept a higher complete-system cost.
